Positive Futures is a unique vocational guidance service for people who are considering their future options but not yet ready to approach mainstream services such as the Job Network. We offer information, advice and appropriate referrals to help you make informed decisions and set achievable goals.
• A positive future may include returning to work. Positive Futures provides vocational guidance and counselling to help you make the right decision about re-entering the workforce.
• A positive future may include undertaking a course of study. Through Positive Futures, you can be linked into a range of study options available through local community colleges, TAFE, university and other educational institutions, specifically aimed at people who want to learn new skills or develop existing ones.
• A positive future may include reducing your social isolation and participating in some form of regular social activity or developing a new interest or hobby. There are many different and interesting volunteer opportunities available and we can help you find them.
• A positive future may include considering your ‘life goals’ and, in the process, perhaps deciding to change jobs, reducing the hours your work or, if your health is no longer supporting you, stopping work altogether. Positive Futures provides advice, information and support if you are considering such a change in your current situation.
