It has been over a month since we first told our clients and supporters that the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (OLGR) was conducting a review of BGF’s financial reporting in relation to the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 (NSW).
Although the OLGR review has not been completed, the Board and Management of BGF has prepared some additional disclosure statements to provide greater transparency in our financial reports for the 2008-09 financial year. A breakdown of our Income Statement for the FY 2009 can be downloaded here and a breakdown of our financial assistance payments can be downloaded here.
The documents we first provided in July are still available to be downloaded here and here.
We believe it is important to share this information with our valued supporters at the earliest opportunity, which is why we have released these statements now rather than wait for the conclusion of the OLGR review.
The Board and Management will provide a further statement to its supporters, donors, clients and stakeholders once the review by the OLGR has been completed.
