Board Vacancy / Vacancies

Based in Sydney, The Bobby Goldsmith Foundation (BGF) is Australia's longest-running HIV care and support charity. Established by a dedicated group of Bobby Goldsmith's friends in 1984 after his death, the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation has helped thousands of men, women and children living with HIV across NSW. Today, its purpose is to empower and support people living with HIV to live well - by providing practical, emotional and financial support.

The Board of BGF is seeking applications for three non-executive director positions. The roles are on a voluntary basis and assist in overseeing the direction and operations of the organisation, and provide support and guidance to the Chief Executive in the execution of their duties.  BGF is a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee.

Candidates must demonstrate skills and experience in one or more of health (particularly HIV), accounting/finance, fundraising, marketing/communications, IT or corporate sectors. Candidates with previous board experience and/or an understanding of HIV and AIDS related issues will be highly regarded.

Applicants should forward their resume and an expression of interest letter to sue.meech@bgf.org.au.  For further information please contact Lorraine Hall on 0421 141 331.

Applications close August 31 2017.
