Our alcohol and drug support services assist people living with HIV who may have drug and/or alcohol dependency issues. We provide a range of HIV-related support to address physical, mental and social needs.

Once our team has reviewed your referral form, we’ll be in touch. If eligible for BGF services, we’ll arrange your initial intake appointment.
Work with our experienced team to develop a personalised support plan that addresses your specific needs. Once your plan is in place, our team can start working with you to achieve your goals.
How does BGF support clients?
We have been supporting people living with HIV for more than 40 years. We specialise in support for all people living with HIV, from all walks of life who are seeking progressive, supportive care.
Our alcohol and drug support services include:
- Access to a stabilisation program through The Haymarket Centre crisis accommodation (pending availability)
- Support for HIV treatment adherence
- Referral and support to access community services, including drug health services
- Harm minimisation, including education and support to reduce risky injecting and sexual behaviours
- Support with legal and financial issues
- Ongoing support and advocacy.
