World AIDS Day invites us to pause – to reflect, remember and recommit.
It’s a time to honour those we’ve lost, celebrate how far we’ve come and stand with people still living with HIV today.
More than 29,000 people are living with HIV in Australia today but behind every number is a person navigating stigma, health challenges and financial hardship.
That’s why BGF walks alongside more than 900 people each year, offering tailored, compassionate support.
This year’s theme, ‘No one left behind,’ reminds us that allyship still matters. As BGF patron Hamish Macdonald says:
“Being an ally means showing up, speaking out and standing alongside those who’ve been left behind for too long.”
