On her appointment as Community Ambassador, Hannah said:
"I am so thrilled to be joining the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation as a community ambassador. The work they do to assist those living with HIV as well as their family and friends is so crucial. Helping folks to feel less alone, loved and supported.
BGF work tirelessly supporting our community and breaking down the stigma of what it means to live with HIV. My heart is so full to be working alongside them and being apart of the family. I can’t wait to see what magic we can make together!"
The announcement was made at our Icons Trivia Night. You can watch Hannah's speech below:
She is a recipient of both the Rising Star and Entertainer of the Year awards at the Drag Industry Variety Awards and is a coveted performer of international acclaim.
Hannah has been supporting HIV causes for a number of years now through appearances at BGF’s fundraising events and supporting ACON’s Red Ribbon Appeal. Through her platform, she has consistently used her voice to promote equality, acceptance, and love, aligning perfectly with BGF's mission.
Bobby Goldsmith Foundation CEO, Nick Lawson said:
"We are delighted to welcome Hannah Conda as our latest Community Ambassador. Hannah's energy, creativity, and passion for advocacy make her a perfect fit for BGF. With her help, we hope to amplify our message that HIV still matters, people living with HIV are still here and they need our support."
The history of drag is founded in activism, and we know that through her role as BGF’s Community Ambassador, Hannah will use her voice within the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond to create safe spaces to discuss HIV.
